Courthouse is a light rail station in Salt Lake City serviced by all three lines of the Trax system. It is the last station within the free fare zone for southbound trains and has become a major transfer station for downtown-university journeys since the trains on the University Line have been redirected to connect to the Mid-Jordan line. The Frank E. Moss United States Courthouse and Exchange Place are directly north along Main Street, and the Scott Matheson State Courthouse is to the east on the other side of the block. An area known as Hotel Row, with a large number of hotels and motels, is south and west of the station, though the whole block immediately west of the station is a single large (non-park-and-ride) parking lot that sometimes hosts special events.
